FROM the moment Redd Cann's free kick put South Zeal 1-0 up the writing was on the wall for Sandford on Saturday. Despite a spirited display from the visitors they were well beaten as Redd Cann scored a hat-trick and Jamie Atherton and Harley Cann completed the scoring for South Zeal.

On Sunday South Zeal travelled to Pinhoe and progressed to the semi-final of the Bill Slee cup by winning 3-2 with goals from Jamie Atherton (1) and Harley Cann (2).

Previously Zeal defeated Winkleigh 6-1 at home with goals from Redd Cann (3) Harley Cann , Jamie Atherton and Scott Hooper, They then lost 2-1 in a tight game in the mud at Upottery and beat Tedburn St Mary 6-1 with goals from Redd and Harley Cann, Jamie Atherton and Ricky Drew.
