Tavistock U14s 14

THIS was always going to be a tough match, but with key players missing and only fielding 14 players, some playing out of position, Tavistock knew they had work to do.

Kingsbridge came out fast and hard and scored their first try early, unconverted. A second try before half time was also unconverted.

The second half saw Tavistock rally and pull one back, run in by Sam Wilton and converted by Ed Tait. A second try scored by Harry Richardson also converted by Ed Tait put the home team in front.

A minor neck injury brought the game to an end for Luke Edwards and a loan player, Ivor, from Kingsbridge allowed the game to continue.

It was tough, end to end stuff, with some superb rugby on a cold, wet Sunday morning.

The boys played well and fought hard to produce a spirited final game for 2015, but a final push by Kingsbridge got their third try and the game ended with a 14-15 defeat for the home side.
