Okehampton Argyle Veterans 3 Barnstaple Veterans 4 ARGYLE Veterans were unlucky to lose in a match they really should have won. A shaky start saw an early goal conceded by the Okehampton side before they took control and missed a series of chances which on another day could have seen a three or four goal half time lead. The second half started in similar fashion and they went 2-0 down before scoring through Robbie Miller and Neil Thomas to level things up. The Barnstaple side regained the lead only to concede an own goal to make it 3-3 and then a few minutes from time scored what was to be the winner. While disappointed to lose the game some consolation was taken by Argyle veterans from having given Barnstaple, last year's Devon Veterans' cup winners, a real fright.
