THE weekend marked the beginning of the 2016 national qualifying window for Mount Kelly Swimming with swimmers competing at both the Wycombe Premier open meet and Edinburgh International meet.

Twenty three swimmers travelled to Wycombe with most of the best clubs from around the UK in attendance. The swimmers from Mount Kelly performed incredibly well against tough opposition to break 10 Mount Kelly Records, claim 24 medals and break 48 personal best times.

13-year-olds Kaylee Dekker won three gold medals in the 50, 100 and 200 butterfly and silver in the 200 freestyle.

14 year old Eddie Maddocks took gold in the 50 freestyle, and silver in the 100 and 200 freestyle events. Eddie was one of the Mount Kelly swimmers with a 100% PB rate across the weekend amd Ollie Taverner won four golds, a silver and a bronze.

Those swimmers setting Mount Kelly Records were: Jack Plummer, Ollie Taverner, Georgina Dennis, Olivia Lee, Molly Peters, Chloe Barrow (2) and Kaylee Dekker (3).
