MARK Wiffen, member of Tavistock Wheelers North Shore Gallery, has won an excellent bronze medal in the 2,000 metres individual pursuit event at the Worlds Masters Track Championships in the Manchester Velodrome. He also produced a series of top 10 finishes in other track events.

It was a hard week of competing for Mark, who had not raced on the track for nearly 30 years. His performances bode well for the future World Championship attempts and also offers great encouragement to all of the other club members.

There are a lot of promising young riders in the club and performances like Mark's can only help to inspire them to aim high.
