THIS year the Peter Tavy Plod is celebrating 10 years of running in conjunction with the Peter Tavy Village Fayre, a traditional event held every August Bank holiday.

The Plod will once again be run over the trails around the village over a challenging five miles course.

It has become increasingly popular over the years and organisers are looking forward to a record turnout for the Plod and the junior fun run which takes place simultaneously.

Courtesy of its sponsors, the Original Pasty House, there are momentos to all participants and an extensive prize list among various categories.

Race organiser Dave Chanter said: 'The Peter Tavy Plod is a race for all levels, we look forward to seeing you in the day and feel free to like us both on facebook.'
