AFTER two fine victories the Lambs suffered a defeat at Blaize Park to leave them 17th in the league table.
The visitors got off to a fine start and should have opened their account in the 10th minute but were denied as home keeper Dave Painter made a good save to deny Jarryd Kelly, following a fine move with Johnny Wyatt.
The game was even early on, but in the 20th minute the home side were awarded a penalty kick, which Zalick slotted into the corner of the net.
The Lambs continued to play some good football with Carlton Farnham, Kelly and Wyatt all going close to getting the equaliser. In the 37th minute Kelly had a good effort cleared off the line by a home defender. Then just minutes before half time the home team doubled their lead when Ashley Piggott's great through ball split the Lambs defence for Zalick to turn on the angle of the six yard box, and fire home past Dean Smith and take a two goal lead into the interval.
The Lambs came out in the second half and within two minutes a fine move resulted in a rasping shot from Kelly clipping the top of the cross bar with painter well beaten.
Back came St Blazey and they increased their lead against the run of play, when bad marking from a corner resulted in Lewis Prince unmarked at the far post, he duly lashed the ball into the net to give the side a three goal lead.
Tavistock manager Ian Southcott then made some substitution, to try and get more punch up front. Kelly move up to centre forward, with Harry Easton coming on to take over Kelly's midfield role.
Midway through the half the Lambs when a free kick flew across the penalty area for Kelly to convert at the far post. At this stage it looked as if the Lambs could still get something out of the game, but all the good work was undone when another corner kick resulted in the home team regaining a three goal lead as Paddy West was unmarked at the far post to head home.
The Lambs never gave up and scored a second when a clearance from a corner kick fell to new signing Lee Blatchford riffled the ball home from 25 yards.
The visitors continued to press forward but they had given themselves too much to do with some really poor defending from corner kicks.
After two fine victories this was a disappointing result. Two goals from corner kicks was the telling factor in what was a very even match for long periods.
They must now pick themselves up and be ready for this week ends challenge when they visit top of the table Ivybridge,
