TAVISTOCK Hire Centre went into this first round game against first division University missing four key players.

Hire Centre were under pressure from the off but held on well until the last 10 minutes of the first half when two stunning 20 yard strikes hit the top corner of the net that they could do nothing about. 

Just before half time a flowing move down the right from University ended with a good side footed strike to make it 3-0. Tavi Hire started better in the second half and should have scored when a good ball from Dave Wilkinson sent Des Newton clear only for him to shoot wide from eight yards.

Hire Centre were caught out with two minutes to go when University hit them on the break to score their fourth and seal the win.
