THE Shebbear College Junior School gymnastics team returned from the North Devon Schools' gymnastic competition in Bideford triumphant, with a clutch of medals.

It was the first time the school entered the competition, and all the students taking part won a medal. In total the school won seven golds, six silvers and four bronze. These included the U7s novice mixed team and U7s novice girls' team winning gold, while there were silvers in the individual overall U7s girls' novice and U11s novice girls' A Team competitions. The school scooped bronze for individual overall U11s novice girls and the U9s novice boys A team.

Their teacher and trainer Sue Standford won an Endeavour Shield for training the teams.
