ON Saturday Okehampton Golf Club held its annual President's Day for members.

Newly elected president, the Rev Stuart Wilson in his first week of office greeted competitors and set up the course with some additional fun spot prizes on the day.

Overall winners were Bryan Evans and Paul Alford with 46 points, in second place were Nick Heath and Rod Wright with 43pts and in third place Kevin Cornwall and Pete Kiss with 43pts.

The winning ladies team were Val Dodsworth and Janice Thwaites with 36pts and the winning mixed team were Anne Court and Gareth Holt with 38pts. The club's heartfelt thanks go to outgoing president Ted Boswell who has served the club extremely well over the last three years as president, having given a lot of time and commitment over many years.
