Tavistock Squash and Racketball Club hold a monthly club night competition on the second Monday of every month.

October's competition was a racketball team event with two teams of four trying to secure as many points as they could. This month everyone played everyone in the other team with only Joe Kuipers managing to maintain a 100 per cent win rate. After plenty of competitive action the event was won by Simon Powell, Mike Benstead, Graham Coiley and Corrie Grice.

Racketball, say the club, is great fun and is a slightly gentler form of squash with a larger bouncier ball. This tends to make for closer games with plenty of rallies and so is excellent for general fitness.

Next month's competition will be the quarterly handicapped squash tournament.
