Buckland Athletic vs Sidmouth Town, Newquay AFC vs Street FC, Saltash United vs Brislington FC and Shepton Mallet vs Ivybridge Town all fell foul of the inclement weather.
The Lambs pushed through though and journeyed into Somerset to face a team third bottom in the standings.
Luco Ponsillo and Jake Brown were on target for Wells as they prevailed at home, moving up three places as a result.
Connor Marshall was without captain Callum Watson as he became the latest player to depart Langsford Park but the young manager had made a few additions in the days prior to the game.
Former St Blazey man Tom Hensman was on the bench against Wells, as was Hugh Enticknap, who joins from Callington Town. The other recent addition is Max Edgecombe- he most recently played for Wellington AFC but had spells with Exeter City and Plymouth Parkway too.
Tavistock had a scheduled midweek trip to Newquay AFC and will then host Torpoint Athletic on Saturday, October 31.
Meanwhile, in the South West Peninsula League, Okehampton Argyle were given an absolute hiding.
Argyle enjoyed a new manager bounce following the departure of Richard Washburn, winning 4-0 at Torrington AFC in their first outing under Jamie Hawker and Paul Daley.
They then exited the Walter C Parson League Cup at the hands of Middlezoy Rovers before now shipping 14 (fourteen) on the weekend against Cullompton Rangers.
Tyler Little scored the only Oke goal whilst Lloyd White scored six for the title favourites.

Rock-bottom Argyle host Torridgeside AFC on Wednesday (Oct 28) before paying Newton Abbot Spurs a visit on Halloween.
