Yelverton secs v Clyst St George

DESPITE a 72 from Yelverton's Gerry Keen the home side had to settle for a draw against a stubborn Clyst St George side at Langton Park on Saturday.

The home side hit 237 with Clyst bowlers Beasley, 5-27, and Hyne, 2-43 doing the most damage. Coe on 50 and Welsh on 78 were the main scorers in the away team's reply with home bowler Tony Carter taking 3-35. Yelverton 13 points, Clyst St George 12 pts.
