EVERY year, Plymouth Round Table organises two 10Km runs, one in January (the January Jaunt) and the other in March (Mad March Hare), in aid of local charities. Every penny raised is being used for good causes.
Each race attracts between 250 and 400 runners with an out and back route through Saltram from the start (and finish) at the Plymouth Speedway track, the St Boniface Arena in Plympton.
The January Jaunt was held on the on Sunday and 13 Bere Alston Trekkers (Bats) took part in this event, which is the first race on the club's Grand Prix 2015 calendar.
This was the first event for club member Jade Alford (who was supported by her husband Simon) in a BATs vest and a total of five personal bests for the distance!
First male Bat home was Steve Hill who continues to train hard and improve his times; first lady Bat was Lisa Birch who ran a really good time.
The Mad March Hare will be held on Sunday, March 16.
