A new chapter has begun for Tavistock’s High Street with the opening of “The Flower Shop” by A Scent-Sation on Pepper Street, officially marked by a visit from Steve Hipsey, Town Mayor of Tavistock, alongside friends, customers and members of the local community.

Owned and run by Linda Walker, A Scent-Sation has long been known locally for its warm, personal approach to floristry. The move to Pepper Street places the business right in the heart of the town, offering a welcoming new space filled with seasonal flowers, plants and thoughtful floral design. Established in 2004, Linda founded A Scent-Sation with a simple aim: to provide Tavistock and the surrounding area with beautiful, stylish flowers, expertly presented — an approach that has been warmly embraced by customers ever since. With more than 40 years of experience in the industry, Linda’s passion, creativity and knowledge have earned her an excellent reputation as a highly skilled florist, known for creating the perfect flowers for every occasion.

The new location allows customers to experience the business in a dedicated retail space that reflects Linda’s creativity and attention to detail, while making the shop easily accessible to passers-by and regular visitors alike.

The opening day was a true community moment, with customers gathering inside the shop to celebrate, share cake and enjoy the atmosphere. Mayor Steve Hipsey met with Linda, praising the investment in the town centre and the importance of independent businesses to Tavistock’s character and economy.
