Local food lovers are being invited to take centre stage at one of Dartmoor’s most glamorous culinary events, as Bovey Castle opens ticket-only access to Battle of Eden 2026: A Night at the Movies on February 28 2026.

While the event forms part of a wider weekend experience for staying guests, Bovey Castle is encouraging local residents to join the celebration without the need to book accommodation, offering a limited number of ticket-only places priced at £150 per person.

The black-tie evening draws inspiration from the golden age of Hollywood, transforming the castle into a cinematic stage for an unforgettable night of food, theatre and live entertainment. Guests will be welcomed with a sparkling drinks reception, before enjoying a five-course dining experience created by five Head Chefs from across the Eden Hotel Collection.

Each course is inspired by an iconic film, with wines expertly paired throughout the menu. Adding an element of intrigue, the chefs remain anonymous until the final reveal, allowing guests to judge purely on flavour, creativity and presentation. The evening’s competitive edge comes from live audience voting, with diners playing an active role in crowning the Battle of Eden Champion 2026.

After the winner is announced, celebrations continue with after-dinner entertainment and late-evening festivities. By offering a ticket-only option alongside residential packages, Bovey Castle is opening its doors to the local community, giving nearby residents the chance to experience a five-star culinary spectacle usually reserved for overnight guests.
