Local dentist Andrew Brown, is taking a proactive approach to environmental sustainability with an inspiring new community initiative. Launching with a traditional hedge laying demonstration by renowned expert Bobby Crabb, this event marks the start of a comprehensive three-year programme of free, farm and land-based tours near Cotehele in the Tamar Valley.

This ambitious series, comprising 75 workshops, is designed to bridge the gap between ecological theory and practical action. Open to all, it invites everyone, from the curiously minded to landowners, to explore vital topics, including wildflower meadow creation, sustainable beekeeping with the B4 Project, wildlife surveying, and the deep connections between art and the environment.

More than just tours, these government-funded sessions use the land as a living classroom. They aim to promote wellbeing while imparting practical knowledge about sustainable agriculture, woodland management, and conservation grazing. Andrew’s unique initiative demonstrates how professionals from any field can play a transformative role in local environmental stewardship.
