OKEHAMPTON Hockey Club's U12s girls team went to Cullompton on Sunday to play in the first round of the Devon Girls U12 league.

They drew with Exeter Culm Vale Hornets and lost narrowly to Exe and Isca.

The Okehampton boys U12s team went and played in the Devon tournament in Exeter. The young, inexperienced team were surprised by the pace of the other sides, but acquitted themselves well.

The boys played four games, against Isca, Ashmoor, East Devon and Devonport and although they did not win any matches, they learnt a lot and are looking forward to the next round of matches after Christmas.
