Devon and Exeter League Premier Division Seaton Town 1 Okehampton Argyle 0 SEATON Town, who are making a strong challenge for the premier title, were a relieved side when the final whistle went, with them still clinging onto the vital goal, scored in the sixth minute by George Moor. A cracking shot from Phil Evans in the fifth minute rattled the crossbar before going over for a goal kick. Although Argyle eventually lost this game, they can be very pleased with their overall performance, particularly by the younger players in the side. With half the season now over, and still in the relegation danger zone, they are still confident they can move up to a safe position. Seaton?s goal was a lob into the goalmouth from fully 40 yards. It completely deceived Chris Dearing, who was a few yards off his line ? the ball just squeezing under the crossbar to give Seaton that vital goal. Argyle fought hard for the rest of the game, but luck was not on their side. This was emphasised in the last minute, when in almost dark conditions two shots in quick succession following a corner, were headed off the goal line by defenders with the keeper well beaten. Argyle?s next match is at home on Monday January 3, with a 2.30pm kick off. Their opponents for this game are Feniton, who are currently bottom of the league, trailing Argyle by 3 points, but with two games in hand.
