Tavistock Jets U13s 2
Saltash United U13s 1
JETS secured an excellent win against top opponents proving they can equal the best.
After early pressure by a well organised Saltash, Jets? passing improved and they were unlucky to have what looked like a good quality goal disallowed.
The goalkeeper dived bravely at Coulston?s feet to prevent a goal yet Jets could have been ahead when the keeper was caught off his line but the ball went wide.
Saltash were always a threat and Webber had to make a number of important saves.
Derbyshire and Kelly came on after half-time and Jets began to take control. Following a corner by Dobson, McCall flicked the ball into the net and Jets continued the pressure with the Saltash keeper making excellent saves until Russell-Wilson latched onto a Dobson cross to make it 2-0.
After Webber brought down their striker Saltash scored from the penalty spot but Jets held firm.
Man of the match: Luke Russell-Wilson. Manager?s man of the match: Ashley Dobson.

Railway Beacon took the lead after 30 minutes beating Ian Gray, replacement keeper, from close range.
In the second half Jets went on the attack playing good controlled football. After 50 minutes John Masterton put them level, finding the top corner from a free kick.
Against the run of play Railway Beacon went 2-1 up after 65 minutes. Jets went on to an all out attack to find an equaliser and 75 minutes into the game Masterton scored his second goal with a 30-yard scorcher.
With only seconds remaining Ross Allen kicked the ball off the line to prevent the opposition from scoring.
