ENERGIES took over the Bere Ferrers Singing for Fun group?s latest meeting, when Jess Curtis took the lead.
A singing workshop, based around experimentation and use of energy, created an energising and uplifting experience as members prepared a version of Amazing Grace with unexpectedly harmonious results.
Free-flowing wine and food added to the event, and Jess was thanked for her contribution and the introduction of voice exploration to the group.
Bere Alston?s Holy Trinity Church?s summer garden party raised £183 for their funds.
The party, held in the church hall because of weather conditions, had stalls laden with a variety of goods, refreshments and a raffle. A jumble sale on June 10 raised a further £125 for the church.
