AS part of their 80th anniversary year, 12 members of Lifton WI spent Sunday afternoon picking up litter around the village.  

High visibility waistscoats were supplied by Ambrosia and West Devon Borough Council supplied litter pickers, bin bags and gloves.

The ladies were amazed — and horrified — by the amount collected.

In an hour, 12 bags were filled!

Other events orgnised during this special year include various craft workshops which are open to non-members and a party at the end of April.  

The W I would also like to increase their group membership.
