A gallon bottle of whisky raised £203 when it was raffled at the Queen's Head, Albaston, on Boxing Day — the money will be donated to the oncology unit at Derriford Hospital.
Di Hugo, a cancer sufferer herself, won the whisky in the Christmas draw and, not being a whisky drinker, decided she would like to raise some money for the oncology unit that has treated her over a number of years.
The winner of the gallon was Dennis Cook, of Albaston, also known as Callington town crier.
Dennis fully supported the donation to the unit, his wife, Jenny, also having been treated there.
At the presentation at the Queen's Head, thanks were expressed to all the locals who had donated.
