MANAGER Simons resisted the chance to field first team players and stood by his normal squad and how his players responded, knocking out a side from four divisions higher.

Tawton struck early when Arscott scored with a neat lob over the keeper. Minutes later Dave Ware went on a solo run and hit a vicious shot over the keeper's head.

After the interval the home side pulled a goal back but Tawton held firm, and Arscott broke away and scored with a low shot.

Tawton had a tense last ten minutes when Dunkeswell notched a second but strong defending saw them home for a deserved cup upset. Strikers Ware and Prescott were superb as were Hillier and Rice in midfield. Man of the match: Eddie Hillier.
