Tavistock 3

Exeter Hornets 0

Tavistock Men's Hockey A first win of the season came with a home game to Exeter Hornets.

With the team feeling a little down on their luck in past games Tavistock started a little slow with pressure being put on the defence of Rundle, Lethbridge, Edwards, Wood and keeper Bradley.

After soaking up the pressure and feeding the halves it took a break from Jeffery and finding space in the D for him to put away the first goal.

After half time Tavistock knuckled down to seal the game. The first was through hard work from the halves of Daniells, Richards, Lovett and Heard passing and winning the ball from the Hornets when the ball was slotted through to Richards for the second goal.

Further chances fell to forwards Vinson, Colin and Jeffery when a well taken goal found the Hornets' keeper in no man's land and Colin was able to finish off the game. During the last ten minutes a one on one situation with Vinson and the Hornets keeper found goal number four only to be disallowed.
