Ranger Jamie Lang said: 'I'm convinced the sun is going to shine throughout August, but even if it doesn't we're ready to have lots of fun at Cotehele.
'This summer we have created a new interactive trail from the house to the mill — even the dog will get a treat when he reaches the end.'
This summer also sees the return of two popular family activities at the house. From Saturdays until Thursdays visitors can take a closer look at the vast bladed weapons collection, as well as 'CSI Fridays', which explore some of the conservation methods that challenge Cotehele's housekeeping team, for which visitors are urged to bring their own torch.
