TAVISTOCK showed great spirit at Sandy Park on Sunday and never let their heads drop.
Tavistock were a player down from the start which was reduced further when Laura Evans took a nasty knock to the head. They will be looking forward to the return fixture.
Tavistock were back to full strength in the pack, with the welcome return of Kirsty O'Neil.
Plymouth Albion made good use of their boot, however, Mandy Blackmore and Helen Smith played well together covering both wings with Helen also covering deep as full back. It was the lack of numbers that let Plymouth Albion capitalise on the overlaps.
The Tavistock tackling was awesome, Wiz Francis getting in low and stopping all who got in her way. Claire White made some excellent ground and was unlucky not to score.
Try scorer for Tavistock was Boo Colton who after a prolonged onslaught on the Albion line saw the gap to dive and score.
