I HAVE read (Times, December 13) with great pleasure that the Crown Centre in Tavistock has been able to stay open until 1am. My friends and I visit this place regularly as well as going to Plymouth occasionally.
We enjoy the Crown Centre much more than going to Plymouth because it is well run.
If it was shut many people would be extremely disappointed. I read that nine persons objected to the planning application but this is insignificant compared to the silent majority who wish it to stay open.
Long may it continue.
