RE the enhancement of the ground around St James' Chapel
Can anyone please explain to me why the multi-coloured tiles and not granite were chosen to be laid around St James' Chapel?
They are completely out of keeping with the chapel and its surroundings.
I would imagine during cold weather these tiles may become extremely slippery and very dangerous to the elderly and less active inhabitants of the town and district.
As regards the enhancement of the arcade, all it needs is a coat of paint and possibly better lighting and something done to the floor: surely this wouldn't cost thousands of pounds?
We don't want Okehampton to be made into a second Milton Keynes.
