DOGS and owners took a scenic stroll in the sun during Margaret Green Animal Rescue's annual sponsored dog walk.
The walk took place at Wingletang with pit stops along the way for two and four legged walkers to top up on refreshments.
The centre's rescue dogs and dogs that had been re-homed took part, as well as local residents and their pets.
Around 60 people raised more than £900 for the rescue centre.
Nikki Ging, sanctuary manager, said: 'The volunteers took all the rescue dogs along — there wasn't a dog left in the kennels. We walked for six miles and it was very, very hot, but as always it was a well supported event.'
The tired dogs and their owners were treated to tea and cakes on their return.
