MORE than 60 walkers are expected to join Princetown resident Steve Parker in this year?s Dartmoor Challenge walk.

The 30-mile sponsored walk will take place on April 26/27 and will raise money for CLIC.

Steve has been raising money for the charity for ten years and this is the 12th year he has organised the walk across Dartmoor.

The route, designed by Steve, stretches for 15 miles each day. When he started the challenge just 12 people joined him, but this year it is expected there will be over 60 walkers.

Competitors cover their own transport and accommodation costs so all the money raised goes to the charity.

Virgin Trains ? for whom Steve works as a train driver ? and First Great Western are supplying two minibuses to work as support vehicles over the weekend.
