IF you fancy some fresh air and exercise after the indulgences of Christmas, Britain?s biggest walking festival will be coming to Tavistock on December 27. The eight-mile walk, starting at 10am from Lamerton Church, is one of hundreds of events which form part of the Ramblers? Association?s Festival of Winter Walks, kicking off on Boxing Day. The walk will explore lanes around Lamerton and Milton Abbot and everyone is welcome, including your dog. People are asked to bring food and drink, warm waterproof clothing and good footwear.
