PEOPLE involved in the charity event ?Take a Walk on the Wildside? were part of a ?momentous? circular walk of 12 miles to raise money for St. Luke?s Hospice. The route included the Skylark at Clearbrook, the Royal Oak at Meavy, Burrator Inn, the Devon Tors and the Walkhampton Inn, ending up at the Lopes Arms in Roborough for a barbecue. This yearly event has raised in excess of £20,000 over three years. St Luke?s Hospice expressed thanks to the organisers and the people who take part each year, showing great community spirit. It is hoped to continue fundraising next August by holding another ?Walk on the Wildside?.
