WALKERS gathered at the Cotehele Estate recently to walk several miles around the grounds in the Great Daffodil Walk in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care.

More than 50 people took part in walking a three or six-mile route around Cotehele to raise funds for the Cornwall Nursing Appeal for Marie Curie.

After completing the trail, walkers enjoyed a visit to the house and gardens at Cotehele thanks to the support of the National Trust.

The sponsored walk raised £2,500, which will benefit the Marie Curie Nursing Service. Marie Curie nurses provide practical nursing care to terminally ill patients during the day or overnight. Their services are free of charge, and the charity relies on generous donations to continue its work.
