GULWORTHY parish will mark Rogationtide next weekend with an animal blessing service in St. Paul's Church at 11.15am on Sunday May 9, to which both young and old are welcome to bring along pets or other animals, suitably chaperoned.

On the previous day, Saturday May 8, the annual rogation walk will take place. The Rev Michael Brierley will lead stalwarts around the 19-mile parish boundary, starting from the Chip Shop Inn at 7.30am, with picnic lunch at Gawton at 1pm, ending with tea and a short service at Mill Hill at 5.30pm.
