NEW blood is needed for the Buckland Monachorum June Fair Committee so an event can be held next year.

A lack of committee members meant the postponement of this year?s fair, much to everyone?s disappointment.

Current chairman Stephen Fryer said: ?We especially need a secretary and a grand draw organiser, but new blood is always needed to put on an event like this.

?Unless we find new members willing to help put on a fair in 2005 it just won?t happen.?

The meeting will also decide if the fair should be moved to a later date in the summer so it does not conflict with other similar events around June.

Anyone is welcome to attend the annual meeting of the committee tonight (Thursday) at 8pm in Buckland Monachorum Village Hall or interested parties who cannot make the meeting should call Mr Fryer on 01822 855336.
