Mid Devon Pony Club tetrathletes were simply unstoppable last weekend at the Four Burrow Pony Club triathlon competition held in Truro.
In a mixed age group team competition the two Mid Devon teams of Vicky Medlyn, Daniel Worrall, Charlotte Rowe and twins Sarah and Laura Gomersall and Rebecca Rowe came first and second respectively, beating the host team into third place by more than 700 points.
There were 16 teams in the competition.
Individual class results: senior girls, Sarah Gomersall first
with best run; Laura Gomersall second. Junior girls: Vicky Medlyn first with best shoot and best run. Rebecca Rowe second with best swim.
Mini boys: Daniel Worrall first with best swim, and mini girls, Charlotte Rowe first with an astounding clean sweep of best shoot, best run and best swim!
Sadly, the second day's riding phase had to be postponed due to a waterlogged cross country course.
The Mid Devon expressed thanks to the Four Burrow for organising such a smoothly run competition, all three phases going like clockwork.
