A DISPLAY by Devon Vintage Car Club is taking place at the Barbican in Plymouth on December 14.
There will be a large selection of beautiful and unique vintage and classic cars to see and the event is also an opportunity to present cheques of £1,500 each to the Okehampton branch of the Dartmoor Search and Rescue Team and the Alzheimer's Association of Devon.
The Devon Vintage Car Club has more than 200 members who raised the total of £3,000 at the autumn 2007 and spring 2008 autojumbles, which were held at Hatherleigh and also at other fundraising events.
Throughout the year the club organises regular social events including road runs and skittles matches and its membership is not confined to owners of old vehicles but encourages anyone who is interested in old transport generally.
