BROADWOODKELLY and Exbourne will join forces on Saturday April 21 for their annual Two Village Walk. The walk, which is open to all, is along quiet lanes, and is around 3.5 miles. It heads from Broadwoodkelly to Exbourne, where sandwiches and drinks will be on sale in the hall. The return route to Broadwoodkelly takes in different lanes and a cream tea will be waiting for the successful participants. Transport will be available on the return leg for any weary souls or those not wishing to do the full walk. There is no charge for taking part. Any profits made from the lunch and cream tea will be shared equally between Exbourne Playing Fields group and Broadwoodkelly Village Hall. Anyone who would like to take part in the walk should meet at 11am for coffee and biscuits in Broadwoodkelly Village Hall, where parking is available. The event has been organised with help from the 5x30 project which aims to encourage people to be more active in their everyday lives. There is a one-hour walk each Friday from Broadwoodkelly Village Hall, starting at 10am. For more details of this contact Dee Gant on 01837 83625.
