EXCITING plans to create a labyrinth style attraction for Hatherleigh were presented at the town?s Area Project brokering table last night (Wednesday).

The Hatherleigh Rings project is the brainchild of local environmental sculptor Yvette Martin-Fleming.

The unique project would transform three acres of field into a labyrinth made of cob and thatch which would promote the arts and the local area.

The aim of the meeting was for proposed projects for the rejuvenation of Hatherleigh to be presented to possible funders who choose which they wish to sponsor.

The labyrinth of rings would contain a circular theatre space in the centre while the outer rings could be used as exhibition space and to host a wide variety of arts events.
