U13s handles its task well

THIS was an example of good team work and excellent ball passing skills.

Due to frosty conditions North Okes started by playing tag until the ground softened. This encouraged off loading prior to tackle and North Okes were happy to loan some players to Bideford.

All of the team played well and tries were too numerous to identify individuals. Callum Barber was man of the match.

Training this week is on Thursday on the astro turf in Okehampton.

North Okes U12s 35

NOT having played Torrington before North Okes travelled to be greeted by another solid pack of forwards.

Undaunted and led by captain Charlie Goldsworthy North Okes started strong and did their set pieces well. This enabled Marcus Hoddinott at scrum half good clean ball to feed backs Rhys Palmer and Luke Shin to run leading to a try by Daniel Fogerty.

Torrington came back with a break from the scrum half to score. Good passing from Jamie Mallett to full back Jack Davey coming in to the line went over to add more points which George Courtier converted.
