A NEW art and craft gallery will open this Sunday near Cotehele House.

The Bridge Gallery has taken over from the Tayt Mordern gallery and the place has been gutted in preparation for this new venture involving 12 artists.

The gallery will offer a wide range of art, including painting, prints, jewellery, ceramics, mixed media, wood carving, photographs and textiles.

Other artists will be invited to exhibit in the gallery which will have a new exhibition approximately every three months.

The grand opening on Sunday will take place from 2pm to 5pm and the gallery will be open from Wednesdays through to Sundays from 11am to 5pm.

Bartletts Bridge, Harrowbarrow is the location of the new gallery and is where 'Toys in the Wood' was once situated.

Workshops are to be run next door to the gallery and will be available to the local community.
