THERE's an opportunity to travel back in time at Castle Drogo this weekend with Lady Katherine, her servant Tomas and their amazing selection of medicines, machines and games from the past.
Although it was the last castle to be built in England, the medieval period will be brought to life at Castle Drogo by these two colourful characters.
See how children would have entertained themselves hundreds of years before they had television or the internet and hear how games such as merrills, alquerque and quoits were played.
Learn how castles were constructed and how they were destroyed by building a giant wooden castle and then attacking it with siege engines.
There is also the chance for the whole family to play authentic medieval games throughout the day.
As an alternative to games, find out about medieval medicines and strange folk cures as Lady Katherine passes on her medical tips.
The event runs from 11am to 5pm. Normal admission charges apply.
