A WEST Devon woman scooped a trolley full of Heinz goods with a lucky guess in a competition run by the firm?s Okehampton factory. For the second year running, Heinz ran its ?Guess the total value of Heinz goods in the shopping trolley? competition at the 100th Okehampton Show. Almost 500 people entered the free competition this year, guessing the value of the trolleyful of products purchased from Waitrose, Okehampton the previous day. The winner was Jane Dixon from Shebbear who won the lot with her guess of £103, the exact total was £103.48p. Jane and her husband Gary visited the Heinz factory last week to collect their prize. During their visit to the site, the couple were taken on a tour around the production lines, where they were shown how the factory manages to produce more than a million frozen dessert products per week. Heinz also sponsored the Guernsey cow classes at this year?s centenary show. Congratulations go to the champion Greensfield Pink Lady, owned by MJ and CE Greenslade and the reserve champion Kingwell HP Majic Sledge, owned by JC White.
