AT OKEHAMPTON Golf Club on Saturday a one, two, three Stableford competition was held.
The winners of division one were the trio of Kevin Cornwall, Malcolm Hill and Mark Wonnacott on 74 points. With the same score, but a lesser back nine were Dave Harwood, Chris Hurley and Dave Bickle who came in second. Third were Richard Camies, Robert Camies and Nick Godfrey with 73.
The second division was won by Matt Gazzard, Chris Barker and Fred Scott-Lawson with 78; second were Jack Cornwall, Arnie and Will Searle with 74 on the back nine from, in third, Jules Bennett, Mike Charlesworth and Matt Dean.
l After the rain, hail, sleet and snow of February the ladies managed to play the Rees Baker Trophy. The morning started bright but unfortunately ended with a downpour. Spirits were not daunted and a good turnout finished the round.
The winners were Mo Huggins and Doris Jewell, very popular and worthy winners.
On March 3 the ladies played the first medal of the season.
