THE Bere Alston Trekkers are hosting their first ever running event as a club on Sunday and are looking forward to a successful and dry day. The Summer Fun Run starts at 2.30pm in the Bere Alston Recreation Field. All ages welcome: Ages 0-3 can be pushed, pulled or carried; ages 3-6 one lap of field (600m); ages 6+ 2 laps of field; last races of day go to the grown-ups! Entry fee: £2 with a medal and goodie bag to all finishers. There will be spot prizes; raffle; refreshments and cake stall ? all proceeds to South West Children?s Hospice. Enter on the day and there is a limit of 100.
