TAVISTOCK Town Football Club invites all 8-12 year old girls to a new football coaching session beginning at 5pm on February 25 at Tavistock College all weather pitch, and continuing weekly, from 5-6pm, every Wednesday.

The club want to enter a girls' football team into both the U11s and U13s in the Devon junior and minor league in September for the 2009/10 season, and this new coaching session will aim to develop a squad from which teams will compete in weekly matches throughout the season.

Stewart O'Loughlin, the club's treasurer, said: 'Girls of all abilities are welcome, from complete novices to experienced players. Come and take part and have some fun.'

All Tavistock Town coaches are qualified to level one Football Association standard or above, with a number working towards levels two and three. All coaches and assistants undergo a criminal records bureau check, child protection education and emergency first aid training.

l The club are also inviting all children U16 with disability or special needs to a new football coaching session beginning after half term at Tavistock College all weather pitch, and continuing every Tuesday evening between 5pm and 5.55pm.

In association with Tavistock Youth Café Plus, this fun football session is for players of all abilities to come and have fun in a gently structured environment with the emphasis on enjoyment.

There will be opportunities to take part in matches against other, similar, groups such as Newton Abbot soccability, who are due to come to Tavistock for the much anticipated Son-Rise cup football fun day in May.
