A FIRE crew from Tavistock attended a chimney fire at a property in Whitchurch Road, Tavistock on Saturday morning.

On arrival the incident commander confirmed a chimney fire involving a wood burner and the crew got to work with chimney gear to extinguish the fire.

A second engine from Tavistock was mobilised bringing a ladder and extra personnel.
