Tavistock Town U15s..................0 Manstow U15s..............................2 TAVISTOCK started with flair and vigour and totally dominated play but could not get the ball into the net. The midfielders and forwards combined for some good football and the defence were clearing their lines but at half time it was 0-0. This meant Tavistock had it all to do in the second half and they came out playing just as well. They were unfortunate to lose the first goal after Lyle was penalised for a very controversial offside decision and from the resulting free kick Manstow went on to score. Tavistock then threw everything at the opposition. Court crossed a ball that ran across the front of the goal but the ball went over the bar. In the last few minutes, Manstow slotted in number two and Tavistock ended up the losers, after having played some very good football. Man of the match Andrew Derbyshire. Manager?s man of the match Sam Johnson Tavistock Town U15s..................5 Trophyman U15s 2 TAVISTOCK went one down in the first minute when Trophyman scored a penalty but Tavistock were still on fine form and settled down to some excellent football. Then Bray was brought down in the box and McCall scored from the resulting penalty. 1-2 at halftime. Tavistock almost lost another goal when Johnson had to clear off the line but they were soon dominating play again and after a Court cross, which Hammond got on the end of, the score was 2-2. Bray almost made it 3-2 when his header went just past the post and at the other end Webber, in goal had to make a one-handed save at full stretch when the defence seemed to stop and watch the proceedings. Then Tavistock stepped up a gear and Doyle put the ball in the net to make it 3-2 to Tavistock. The team was confident now and it wasn?t long before Hammond and Johnson combined to let Doyle in again and the score was 4-2. The final goal was an excellent lob by Bray, which the goalkeeper could do nothing about. Man of the match Euan McCall.
