TRIPS up St Michael's Church tower giving a stunning panoramic view of Chagford and the surrounding area will be one of the activities on offer at the church fete this Saturday, June 5.

The fete takes place in the grounds of Chagford House by permission of Lady Hater-Hames.

The day offers a great chance for a family day out in Chagford. The village has a unique variety of shops and there is coffee served in Endecott House from 10am to noon. Light lunches will also be available in the Jubilee Hall.

The church fete starts at 11.30am with the usual stalls, a large raffle, cream teas and ice-cream as well as activities in which all the family can participate.

All proceeds go to St Michael's Church funds and Chagford Primary.
